Calmos

I can't find the little tune from Funky Forest, so I fall back on ... Chara (A Scenery Like Me), and if I get to the end of it, My Little Lover (Organic). Both are self-covering albums in a smooth register. End of evening with the girl you like, the lights are probably turned off in the rest of your house/apart, and you're either sipping wine, or eating almond ice cream while drinking into each other's eyes, breathing as much as the same air as possible.

Outside (now, in Reality), the air's heavy, overcharged with humidity. The nice sunny weather didn't appear as fully as advertised. It nonetheless went from general grayness (with a thunderstormy portion between 1-3PM) to partly clouded by the end of the afternoon.

I spent most of my day with my father. We went to the Concordia area, where I wanted to impress him with the variety of Chinese food - only to have a Ok-to-Bad Food Experience at one of my newly found food joints. We bumped into Wee in front of the Guy metro (after walking in circles to try and find a camera store that never was), and we went to grandma's (to pick up her curtains for washing). Then there was Adonis, where we stocked up on the usual (that I didn't have for a month, in the run-up to my mother's anticipated trip to HK/Asia), which is, salted nuts, honey, yogurt, mediterranean sausages, pita bread, labneh, fruits/vegetables, and, why not, "oriental" hazelnut and pistacchio ice cream. :D

I'm going to get myself a scoop or two.

Too many questions arising from a single encounter. And what's with the world these past two weeks? Were they just waiting for the G8 summit to start? A friend of mine said that she would reconsider having children, b/c she wouldn't feel it would fair to bring them up in a world like this.

Is that it? Are we on the verge of self-destruction? Our dead, more worthy than yours. Etc. I keep an eye open, and keep the other decidedly shut, with the determination of someone who has to kill in order to not be killed.
